From the idea to the company.
EXWE grows with its tasks every day. Because a company is not drawn on the drawing board
Every good story begins with a good idea. Yuri Struszczynski is the founder of EXWE and, after studying computer science, followed a simple idea: Out of passion for technology, develop software. In 2016 it happened: Two friends of Yuri were looking for a partner for a shared office and so EXWE UG was founded in the office in Ernst-Melich-Straße (Dortmund).
The collaboration in Ernst-Mehlich-Straße was a complete success and as a young startup we were able to learn extremely much in a very short time. We supplemented ourselves with first 450 EUR forces and tried to set up more flexible.
Those who work passionately don't stay alone for long and so Benni joined us in 2018 as our first permanent software developer. But this addition was also followed by a separation and we left the working community in Ernst-Mehlich-Straße and moved to Dortmund's Tremonia Park.
2019 was a pivotal year for the company, with Chris joining us as our second managing director and opening our branch office in Düsseldorf at the same time, further accelerating EXWE's growth. If you want to grow, you need even more space, and so after just one year in Leierweg 17, we moved one house further to Leierweg 13, where we can develop even better. More space, more homeliness, happier employees.
2020 has challenged and encouraged us. Like many companies, we were faced with some problems this year. But we don't call ourselves problem finders and problem solvers for nothing - obstacles really get us going. Therefore we can end this year with new customers, our first apprentice Lennart, our first in-house trainer Benni, three new employees (greetings go out to Thomas, Lisa and René) and a lot of fun and nice moments. We started the year with three employees and ended it with eight - so everything didn't go so badly after all.
Exwe grows daily with its tasks and so an idea becomes a company.
2021 meant growth for us above all! Our team has also grown significantly this year and we now count 14 employees at Exwe. With more manpower, we were able to make even more customers happy, mastered challenges together and built a good team despite long home office phases. In joint team events we had a lot of fun and could get to know each other even better. In addition, Chris and Yuri have taken on a lectureship in the field of further education for eCommerce Manager (IHK) at the Business Akademie Ruhr - also cool to pass on our know-how!
We end the year full of confidence and are looking forward to continue in 2022, to grow as a company to challenges and to improve constantly!
